  • Lived in the Catalan coast town of Vilassar de Mar from 1973 to 1977, where he learned to speak Catalan. He worked as a tourist guide in the Costa Brava.
  • Witnessed the Berlin wall come crashing down along with fellow acting pal William Forsythe.

In Air Force One (1997), Volokh and Divoff both played Russian terrorists who tried to kill Ford's character of "The President of the U.S.". • Andrew Divoff appears as a post-plastic-surgery "Karakurt" in a few episodes of Černá listina (2013). While he does not act until a later episode, his likeness first appears on the show in a photograph shown in episode The Djinn (No. 43) (2015). This is intriguing because one of Andrew's most well known roles features him playing "The Djinn" in Wishmaster (1997) (he also continued the role in Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies (1999)).
  • Likes to hike and go skiing when he's not working on set.
  • His mother passed away three days before filming of Another 48 Hours. His father, while not crazy about his desire to become an actor at first, later applauded his success at the premiere of Toy Soldiers and considers his Luis Cali role in the latter film to be his best role to date.
  • Was never paid for his time on his first film Neon Maniacs. Later reported the troubled production to the film unions. He also witnessed animal cruelty such as dead pigeons and has still not seen this film to this day. He remarks that it was just another important lesson.
  • Often plays soldiers, pirates, gangsters, cops, scientists, doctors or terrorists.
  • Director Robert Kurtzman was a fan of Divoff's previous film Toy Soldiers before having him cast in Wishmaster.
  • Has a scar on his right eyebrow.
  • Previously married to his Stephen King's Graveyard Shift (1990) co-star Raissa Danilova.
