William George "Billy" Zane, Jr. (born February 24, 1966) is an American actor, producer and director. He is probably best known for his roles as Caledon "Cal" Hockley in Titanic, The Phantom from The Phantom, John Wheeler in Twin Peaks and Mr. E in CQ.

  • Was originally cast as Johnny Castle in the romance drama Hříšný tanec (1987). During auditions, choreographer Emile Ardolino realized that Zane could not dance, so the role went to Patrick Swayze.
  • All of his grandparents were Greek. His family's surname was originally "Zanetakos".
  • Has pumped iron for over a year to play the title role in The Phantom (1996).
  • Is an avid swimmer and began shaving his head for hydrodynamics (1997).
  • Added more muscle to his already buff physique in order to effectively play Marc Antony in the television movie Cleopatra (1999).

  • Is perhaps best known to younger audiences as the voice of Ansem (Xehanort) in Kingdom Hearts (2002).

  • Engaged to English actress Kelly Brook, having been in a relationship with her since July 2004 (April 2005-August 2008).
